it's been on my mind lately, as Thanksgiving approaches, that at this time last year I was very excited for the Thanksgiving dinner at the Ambassador's residence. Also somewhat bewildered that we would be gathering with such "important people." I thought it would be a once in a lifetime experience that I would look back on and say, Oh, I did that once...
Did it occur to me that I would be in the position of PLANNING this event the next year? Not a bit.
