(almost) a teary eyed moment

In my last class today, one of my students with special needs was called on to present a dialogue with her partner. I'd never asked her to stand up and do something like that before, so I was a bit nervous about how she would do and about how the class would react.

She did so well. Needed a push here and there, but the students and I helped her and she got through it. I was so proud. And the students gave her a huge round of applause when she finished. They really like and support her. This moment was almost too much for me!

Happy sunny day

Oh and some hilarious notes from the previous class:

"What do you need make tonkatsu?" (trying to get them to list ingredients)
"Pig! Pig! Pig meat! Pig and....Fire! Woosh!"

What are you teaching these children. Sounds like lord of the flies with all the pig talk
