Right now it's late and I'm going to bed soon (I know, I'm an old lady now) so no long updating but I wanted to write a little before I forget. This weekend was great! I went to Busan and hung out with Colby and Matthew on Saturday, then went hiking with the family on Sunday, watched my host father's soccer team play, met and had dinner with them, drank beer and soju out of the trophy they won....it was fun.
Today I had a funny encounter with one of my students. Basically she came up to me at the beginning of class and said "Teacher- special day." I had no idea what she was talking about, so I let her continue, and eventually the whole class joined in and started doing a hilarious pantomime of - guess what - a period. She wanted to go to the bathroom. I wonder why she didn't just say that. But it ended up being an interesting cultural exchange moment because I learned the Korean word, and taught them the English. Very important stuff.
Anyway, more interesting things are on the way (namely pictures, I know what you follow this blog for....)
